Role Summary:

Leads Ministry of Supply’s accounting functions and for supporting varying business initiatives while ensuring maximum fiscal responsibility. This person is responsible for maintaining policies, procedures, and accounting systems. The Controller drives accurate and timely reporting, presenting findings and recommendations to management through appropriate channels, and strategic financial initiatives. 


  • Set comprehensive controls to mitigate financial risk and safeguard assets
  • Establish strategic initiatives within accounting function to drive financial and operational improvements
  • Close monthly, quarterly, and annual financials
  • Oversee bill pay, accounts receivable, and all three financials statements 
  • Manage outsourced HR / payroll team on an ongoing basis
  • Develop actual vs. plan variances based on operating performance
  • Enhance the accuracy of reported financial results
  • Partner with other functions to educate and enhance departmental efficiency
  • Effectively present financial results and recommendations to key business partners 
  • Track key performance metrics and prepare financial reporting including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, quarterly financial statements, and annual financial reports
  • Remain current and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles and ensure compliance


  • Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; CPA not required
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant finance/accounting role
